Winding Road reports that a growing number of automotive enthusiasts are changing the badges and insignias on their cars to make them look more powerful or expensive than they really are. Thus, V-6 Dodges become Hemis with the addition of a few stickers, base Honda Civics become fire-breathing Type-R models, and so on.
AutoWeek is reporting that the average sticker price for a Dodge Durango fell an average of $1800. Industry experts cite the fact that sales of the Durango decreased by 40% during the first eight months of 2006.
